Yes it’s here, and it’s wonderful. With all things that can now be generated by “AI” (not true artificial intelligence yet, just fancy algorithms, but I’ll roll with the nomenclature), it’s in its early stages and can be hit or miss.
I first checked out a site that had AI generated music about 4 years ago. Most of it sounded weird, alien-like, and incoherent. But recently a friend tipped me off to a site called Udio.com, and I’ve been using its impressive AI to generate songs. Songs about lusting after androids, of course.
Check them out if you like this kind of thing. I was seriously impressed, and I think you might be too. Here is my profile page, featuring the songs I’ve “published” on the site. As with art, text, and anything else generated by these current AI models, I see this as a creative collaboration between a human and a computer. I personally appreciate the output more when I view it that way.
