It’s that time of year again! Time to chuck out the old bent-up, scratched & damaged year and replace it with a brand new, shiny year – replete with that impressive, plasticky smell of polyvinyl chloride, assorted benzenes and aldehydes!
And what better way to commemorate the turning of the calendar than with a calendar that commemorates old and obsolete computer hardware!
This year’s edition features the following 8-bit and 16-bit computers of yore:
- January – Commodore Pet (1977)
- February – Exidy Sorcerer (1978)
- March – Sharp MZ (1979)
- April – Acorn Atom (1980)
- May – BBC Micro (1981)
- June – Dragon 32 (1982)
- July – Apple Lisa (1983)
- August – NEC PC-100 (1983)
- September – IBM PCjr (1984)
- October – Atari ST (1985)
- November – Commodore Amiga (1985)
- December – Apple IIgs (1986)
You may have even heard of some of these! Chances are you don’t have fond memories of using the Exidy Sorcerer, or even the infamous but innovative Apple Lisa. But if you’re like me, then you do have fond memories of Amiga games (or even Atari ST or Apple IIgs games, if you’re some kind of weirdo).
Enjoy this free calendar for 2019, and have a happy new year!
